Find out how Heshka Oil manual gate valves for type FC style compare to Cameron valves.

Gate and seat assemblies are made up of some of the most critical components in FC manual gate valves, FLS manual gate valves and hydraulic gate valves. The assemblies consist of the:

  • Gates
  • Seats
  • Retainer plates
  • Seals for the seats

Materials and Construction

The gate in Heshka Oil gate and seat assemblies are mostly made from 410 Stainless Steel with a tungsten carbide face. However, the materials used and construction depend on the valve that’s being used.

The seats are made of Stellite 6 for the FC style valves. In an FC style gate and seat assembly, the seals are a Glass Fiber Moly PTFE.

For the FLS style valves the seats are 410 Stainless Steel with a tungsten carbide hard facing. For FLS style gate and seat assemblies the included seals are a Virgin Peek and are spring energized. The FLS seals can also be manufactured in a Glass Fiber Moly PTFE, although we recommend use of the spring energized style not only to help with low pressure sealing but also to help keep more contaminants from getting past the seals and into the valve body.

Gate Valve Dimensions

In addition to the material options stated previously, the gate and seat assemblies for FLS and FC style gate valves also come in different sizes and pressures. The sizes offered by Heshka Oil range from 1-13/16” to 7” and are available in pressure ratings from 2,000 PSI to 15,000 PSI.
